The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested five suspects involved in the kidnapping of the Village Head of Dagachi Hamlet, Yuda Garba, and five others from Ungwan Pawa Dnako Village along Igu Road.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 AM on March 11, 2025, when fifteen armed men invaded the village and abducted the victims.
Intelligence sources informed security analyst Zagazola Makama that a joint team of police officers, hunters, and vigilantes was quickly dispatched to the area and conducted an extensive search of the nearby bushes. Preliminary investigations revealed that the villagers had recently sold their farmlands, and there had been reports of suspicious individuals, believed to be Fulani settlers, arriving in the area.
As a result of the ongoing operation, five suspects—Abdullahi Idris, Tambaya Idris, Haruna Tukur, Umar U. Haruna, and Nasiru Haruna—were arrested in connection with the crime.
Efforts are still underway to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the remaining suspects.
