The Osun State Police Command has arrested Segun Ogunfunmilayo, a suspected cultist, for attempted murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
Ogunfunmilayo allegedly shot a shop owner over a cash transfer dispute in Ede on March 8.
According to police spokesperson SP Akeem Adeoye, Ogunfunmilayo, a member of the Alora cult group, shot the shop owner in both arms after a disagreement over a failed transaction.
Police, with the help of the Civilian Joint Task Force, tracked and arrested Ogunfunmilayo, recovering a cut-to-size pistol and live cartridge. He will be charged after investigations.
