The younger brother of the late singer Mohbad, Adura Aloba, has been arrested by the police alongside two others. Reports indicate that he was taken into custody on Wednesday as he was leaving the Lagos State Magistrates Court in Ogba.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Aloba, alleged that her son was abducted by unknown gunmen, whom she suspects to be police officers. She further accused Nollywood actor and rights activist Yomi Fabiyi of orchestrating the arrest.
“Please help me, people of God! Yomi Fabiyi has taken my son, Adura. I don’t know where they are taking him. He was kidnapped after the court sitting. My son is innocent, and he is sick. They must not harm him!” she pleaded.
It was gathered that Adura was in court over a legal dispute involving a phone he sold to Damola Ayinde. Adura had accused Ayinde and Fabiyi of using the device to hack his TikTok account and damage his reputation.
The circumstances surrounding his arrest remain unclear, and Nigerians are calling for transparency regarding his detention.
