Ali Ndume, the lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District, has urged Nigerians to stay calm and support democracy amid the political crisis in Rivers State.
In a post on his X page on Friday, Ndume stated, “Nigerians must remain calm and uphold democracy during the Rivers State crisis. Let’s have faith in our institutions and work towards peace, unity, and stability. In times of political tension, we must stay committed to democracy and the rule of law.”
His comments came just hours after the Senate voted in favor of President Bola Tinubu’s decision to suspend Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
