Former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, were among the prominent figures who visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.
Also in attendance, include former Minister of Communications Isa Pantami, ex-Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa, former Benue State Governor Senator Gabriel Suswam, and former Adamawa State Governor Jibrilla Bindow.
Atiku took to his verified X account on Friday to share details of the visit, describing his time with the former president as “wonderful.”
“As the Waziri Adamawa, I had to be in Adamawa for the Sallah celebrations, where I represented the Lamido Fombina during some of the events. Today, I paid a post-Sallah visit to His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, President of Nigeria from 2015-2023,” Atiku wrote.
“It was a wonderful time with him. As usual, he had me laughing so hard with his unique sense of humor,” he added, though he did not disclose the specifics of their discussion or any outcomes from the meeting.
