Air Peace Promises To Bring Trafficked Girls Back From Côte d’Ivoire

          Allen-Onyema

Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, has expressed strong condemnation and deep concern over the recent revelation of underaged Nigerian girls trafficked to Côte d’Ivoire. In a statement signed by Onyema and released to the press on Saturday, he vowed that his airline would facilitate the return of the girls to Nigeria free of charge.

The issue came to light when social media influencer Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, exposed that at least 1,200 Nigerian girls had been trafficked to Ivory Coast and were suffering there. Otse also threatened to hold Abike Dabiri, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, accountable if the girls were not brought back within a week.

Onyema condemned human trafficking as inhumane and immoral, calling for collective action to prevent such crimes. He emphasized that Air Peace is committed to helping bring the trafficked girls back to Nigeria, offering not only free flights but also free medical care at Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja upon their return.

“We must all unite to fight trafficking—it is inhumane and ungodly,” Onyema said. “Air Peace will ensure the safe return of these girls, and we’ll provide them with free medical check-ups and treatment. We urge the Nigerian Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire to assist in organizing their return and call on the Federal Government to ensure their education and reunite them with their families.”
