Wike: PDP Not Ready For 2027 Elections

          Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not adequately prepared for the 2027 general elections. According to him, the party lacks the solid structure needed to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) effectively.

Wike made this statement during a live media parley held in Abuja on Friday.

While opposition leaders across the country are reportedly working to form a united front against the APC, internal divisions and conflicting interests among key stakeholders continue to stall coalition efforts.

Commenting on the state of the PDP, Wike said:
“The PDP is clearly not ready for 2027. It’s like claiming to study for an exam—you may be going to class with your books, but are you actually reading? That’s the PDP right now—more about appearances than real preparation. Power struggles will only continue to weaken the party.”
