The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians to reflect on and embrace the values of hope, patience, sacrifice, and resilience, as demonstrated in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement released on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party described Easter as a powerful reminder of God’s victory over death and the triumph of light over darkness.
“Easter marks the joyful end of the Lenten season and celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection,” the statement read. “It represents the eternal triumph of good over evil and inspires us to hold on to hope.”
The APC encouraged Nigerians to take these values to heart, especially in the face of current national challenges, and joined Christians in praying for lasting peace, unity, and progress across the country.
The party also prayed for President Bola Tinubu, asking that he be strengthened in his efforts to address the country’s socio-economic difficulties.
“May Christ’s example of love and sacrifice move us to show kindness to the less privileged and remain united in our prayers for a better Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
