Nollywood actor Yul Edochie took to Instagram to celebrate his elder brother, Leo Edochie, with a heartfelt birthday message that touched many.
Reflecting on their close bond, Yul shared how his big brother supported him during a crucial time in his life. In 1998, while filling out his JAMB form, Yul was unsure of which university to attend. Leo, who was living in Port Harcourt at the time, advised him to choose the University of Port Harcourt so he could look out for him. True to his word, Leo took Yul to Port Harcourt, helped him settle into school, found him a hostel, and made sure he was comfortable before leaving.
Yul also recalled a touching moment from 1999 when they had to sleep in a car after being locked out of a friend’s house. Leo reassured him, saying, “Life is tough, it won’t always be easy, but you must adapt to any situation. Never panic. Take down your seat, we’ll sleep in the car. Don’t worry, I’m your elder brother. I’ll protect you. Nothing will happen to you. I’ll always be here for you.”
Since then, Leo has been a constant pillar of strength for Yul.
Concluding his tribute, Yul wrote:
“I love you bro. Happy 55th birthday to you, big brother. May God bless you with more life, good health, joy, prosperity, peace, and all the good things in life. Thank you for everything you do.”
Yul affectionately called Leo “The Big Leo,” describing him as a good man, a strong man, and a true blessing to their family.
