Trump Voters Stand By Him After 100 Days In Office

Despite the turbulence of his first 100 days, U.S. President Donald Trump still enjoys strong backing from many of his supporters. Here are five Americans who explain why they continue to stand by him:

Frank Tuoti: Optimistic About the Economy Frank Tuoti, a 72-year-old retired machinist from New Hampshire, is largely satisfied with Trump’s leadership, though he has concerns about the economic impact of his tariff policies. Despite some losses in his retirement savings due to market volatility, he believes Trump’s experience with money will eventually lead to positive outcomes. “He’s negotiating with many countries, and I think it will work out in the end,” Tuoti says.

Jane Sisk: Concerned About Ukraine Jane Sisk, a 63-year-old retiree from Virginia, loves much of what Trump is doing but acknowledges that he’s struggling to bring an end to the war in Ukraine. She believes both leaders involved are too stubborn to reach a compromise. “Trump is the art of the deal, but he’s having a hard time making a deal on that one,” she admits.

Karen Miner: Not Worried About Tariffs Karen Miner, who owns a wine store in Reno, Nevada, isn’t concerned about the potential impact of tariffs on her imported products. “We don’t know what the tariffs will be yet, but if necessary, we can always buy wines from the U.S.,” she says. Miner, 57, believes Trump’s business acumen will steer the country in the right direction.

Christy Edwards: Supports Trump’s Immigration Policies Christy Edwards, a retired teacher from North Carolina, is a staunch supporter of Trump’s tough stance on immigration, especially his focus on deporting criminals. “He’s not deporting people who haven’t caused problems; he’s deporting criminals,” Edwards, 54, says, adding that she doesn’t believe taxpayer money should be used to support undocumented immigrants.

Zack Kline: Waiting to See What Changes Zack Kline, a 22-year-old from York, Pennsylvania, acknowledges some early positive changes under Trump, such as a decrease in illegal border crossings. However, he’s still waiting to see how other campaign promises, like expanding fracking and reducing government waste, play out. “It’s only been 100 days, so I’m just anxious to see how it’s going to change,” Kline says.

Despite challenges, these supporters remain hopeful about Trump’s leadership and his long-term impact.
