A Russian-born TV model, Luisa Kremleva, has been sentenced to a six-month suspended prison term and fined £1,500 after admitting to making a false rape accusation against AC Milan footballer Theo Hernandez. The sentence follows a plea bargain deal with public prosecutors, avoiding a full trial.
Last October, Kremleva’s trial in a Malaga court was delayed when her lawyer cited a last-minute medical emergency. Kremleva, 28, stayed away from court proceedings, reportedly to avoid the media. Despite the postponement, court officials have now confirmed her conviction for perjury and for filing a false criminal complaint. She has also been warned that reoffending within the next two years will result in immediate imprisonment.
Kremleva falsely accused the French international defender, 27, of raping her in the back of a Porsche outside a Marbella nightclub. However, investigators quickly dismissed her claims after reviewing CCTV footage. The footage revealed that she had fallen to the ground accidentally and was not pushed out of the car after the alleged incident of “forced sex.” Additionally, police reportedly discovered a phone message she sent to Hernandez around 6:15 a.m., two hours after the supposed assault, in which she repeatedly asked him when he was going to go home with her.
The case highlights the consequences of false criminal accusations and the impact such claims can have on individuals’ reputations and careers. Public prosecutors had initially sought a two-year jail term for Kremleva, but the plea deal resulted in a reduced sentence.
