Rapper 50 Cent Faces Lawsuit Alleging Assault with SUV Door

Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent has been hit with a lawsuit from photographer Guadalupe De Los Santos, who claims he was injured after being struck by an SUV door allegedly at the rapper’s direction.

The incident reportedly occurred on September 11 after a book signing at The Grove in Los Angeles. According to the lawsuit, filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court by attorney Gloria Allred, De Los Santos was riding an electric scooter while filming when the SUV carrying 50 Cent stopped at a red light. He alleges that the vehicle’s passenger door was suddenly and forcefully opened, hitting him on his left side and knocking him to the ground.

De Los Santos claims there was no legitimate reason for the door to open and accuses 50 Cent of instructing someone inside the SUV to carry out the act. The photographer says he suffered bodily injuries, damages to his scooter, and financial losses from medical expenses and missed work.

50 Cent’s attorney responded to the allegations via TMZ, stating that the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has not been served with the lawsuit and referred to the claim as frivolous. The attorney further clarified that 50 Cent is not alleged to have been the driver or the person who opened the door, accusing Allred’s firm of leaking details of the case.

The rapper addressed the matter on Instagram, sharing a photo with Gloria Allred and captioning it, “The moment I realized I don’t like lawyers. Gloria, you should know better—chase a different ambulance.”

No court date has been set, and the lawsuit remains pending.
