Tragedy strikes as a second plane crashes in the US, injuring multiple people.

A plane crashed in Northeast Philadelphia on the evening of Friday, Jan. 31, slamming into a row of houses and igniting a massive fire.

Videos shared on social media captured flames and thick smoke rising into the night sky, with devastation visible throughout the area. Fire crews responded swiftly, but the blaze was intense and could be seen from afar.

According to police, two people were aboard the aircraft, and additional injuries were reported on the ground, as per CBS News.

The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. near Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard. Local reports indicate that the aircraft struck multiple buildings and vehicles, leaving a trail of destruction.

This incident comes just two days after a deadly midair collision between an American Airlines passenger jet and an Army helicopter at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport near Washington, D.C., which claimed 67 lives.
