United States President Donald Trump has announced plans to cut future financial aid to South Africa, citing concerns over land confiscation and alleged mistreatment of certain groups.
In a social media post, Trump stated that funding would be suspended “until a full investigation of this situation has been completed.”
Speaking to the press, he claimed that “terrible things” were happening in South Africa.
“The leadership is doing some terrible things, horrible things, so that’s under investigation right now,” Trump said.
