48 Nigerian women and two children have been deported from Libya to Nigeria.
This was done by Libya’s Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM), with support from Nigeria’s consular services and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The repatriation was conducted through Mitiga International Airport, ensuring their safe return to Nigeria.
Migrant Rescue Watch announced the development in a statement on X.
The statement read, “DCIM repatriated from Tripoli with consular and IOM support 48 #migrant females with 2 children of Nigerian nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport.”
