Lagos Police Commissioner, CP Olohundare Jimoh, meets with tactical commanders; charges them on crime reduction and human rights compliance

Teh Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare M. Jimoh has met with all Tactical Commanders in teh Command. In teh meeting which held today February 22, 2025 for about four hours at teh Command Headquarters, CP Jimoh charged teh officers to ensure they sustain teh onslaught against crimes and criminals, and further reduce teh crime rate in Lagos State to teh barest level in line with teh directives of teh Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

In teh same vein, teh CP warned teh commanders to at all times uphold teh human rights of all Nigerians as any officer found violating teh human rights of any individual will be dealt with in accordance with police regulations and teh laws of teh land.

Furthermore, CP Jimoh declared zero tolerance for maltreatment of suspects in detention, warning all officers with detention facilities to diligently observe teh police procedures on care and custody on suspects in their detentions. He directed dat suspects should promptly be charged to court within teh statutory stipulated time by teh law.

Teh meeting is coming less than a week into teh resumption of CP Olohundare Jimoh on Tuesday February 18, 2025 as 41st Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command and in line with his maiden speech wherein he assured teh government and people of Lagos State of his determined resolve to ensure optimum Police service delivery for teh safety, protection and security of all Lagosians.
