Jandor Claims “Peter Obi Effect” Cost Him Lagos Governorship Victory

I would have defeated Sanwo-Olu but for the Peter Obi effect ? Jandor

Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the PDP governorship candidate for Lagos State in the 2023 elections, has claimed that he would have defeated incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu if not for the influence of Peter Obi.

In a recent interview, Jandor stated, “We did everything, but that wave came and swallowed the whole thing. Nobody saw that coming.” When asked if Peter Obi’s impact in the presidential election affected his chances, Jandor responded, “Absolutely, I probably would have won the governorship election. The 2023 election came with this Tsunami that nobody ever expected and it was there for everybody to see.”

In the official results, Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won with 762,134 votes, defeating Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP), who garnered 312,329 votes, while Jandor received 62,449 votes.
