Police in the United States have identified two men, Adonis Robinson, 24, and Jakobie Russell, 21, as suspects in the fatal shooting of rapper G$ Lil Ronnie (Ronnie “LilRonnie” Sibley) and his 5-year-old daughter, R’mani Sibley. Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez announced the development in a press conference, revealing that two capital murder warrants have been issued for the suspects, who are both on the run.
“They’re hiding, they’re cowards,” Chief Hernandez said. “We urge the public to help us locate them.”
The shooting occurred Monday at Slappy’s Express car wash in the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive. According to Ronnie’s aunt, the victims were identified as the rapper and his daughter. Authorities found their vehicle with bullet holes in the windshield, and despite life-saving efforts, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police investigators believe two suspects exited a white four-door Kia and approached the victim’s car before opening fire. The suspects were described as two Black men wearing blue jeans and grey sweaters.
The Texas Rangers are taking the lead on the investigation, with authorities still working to identify a motive for the attack.
Forest Hill Mayor Stephanie Boardingham expressed her condolences, stating, “The safety of the public is our primary concern. Our thoughts are with the family and the community during this tragic time.”
This tragic shooting marks the third significant gun-related incident in Forest Hill this year, following an investigation into a woman’s death from a stray bullet and a shooting at a local dealership.
Detectives continue to gather information and pursue leads in all cases.
