The Kano State Police Command has arrested three individuals suspected of car theft and recovered two stolen vehicles. The arrests were made during a routine patrol along the Yankaba-Hadejia Road on the Kano-Ringim Expressway.
According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the operation was part of a broader initiative directed by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to maintain round-the-clock visibility patrols. These efforts have led to a significant milestone in combating crime in the region.
On March 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM, a team from the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) conducted the patrol after receiving credible intelligence. They intercepted the suspects: Sani Sirajo (20) from Kaduna State, Rabiu Aliyu (35) from Sharada Quarters in Kano, and Isah Yakubu (22) from Katsina State.
