Former manager and elder brother of the P-Square music duo, Jude Okoye, has been released from Ikoyi Correctional Centre after being remanded in connection with the alleged theft of $1 million and £34,000.
Okoye was seen leaving the facility with singer Rudeboy and others following his release.
The Special Offences Court in Ikeja, led by Justice Rahman Oshodi, had ordered Okoye’s remand on March 4, 2025, pending the hearing of his bail application. He and his company, Northside Music Limited, face four counts of stealing and converting digital distribution and publishing royalties.
The bail hearing took place on March 6, with Okoye fulfilling the necessary conditions, leading to his release. The trial is set to begin on May 16 and 23, 2025, and Okoye also faces a separate seven-count charge before Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court.
