Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has invited Speaker Martin Amaewhule and other lawmakers to a meeting at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday. The invitation, conveyed through a letter dated March 7 by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, follows the Supreme Court’s ruling reinstating Amaewhule’s faction of the Assembly, which aligns with former Governor Nyesom Wike.
The meeting will focus on issues such as securing a venue for Assembly sittings, addressing outstanding allowances, and other legislative matters, signaling progress in resolving political tensions in the state.
