The Abia State Police Command has announced the dismissal and de-kitting of a Mobile Police officer for unethical conduct, in its effort to maintain discipline within the force.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, on behalf of Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, it was revealed that the officer, Inspector Kufere Moses, was dismissed in February.
The statement confirmed that Moses, who was previously stationed at Mopol 55 PMF Aba and attached to the UBA Bank Guard in Aba, Abia State, was officially dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force on February 21, 2025. His police uniform and other accoutrements were also retrieved.
This action followed administrative disciplinary proceedings due to his involvement in “discreditable conduct and offences against discipline.”
Commissioner Isa reiterated the command’s strict zero-tolerance policy for unprofessional behavior and assured the public that any misconduct within the force would not be tolerated.
“Under my leadership, the command remains committed to the vision of the Inspector General of Police to ensure a professional, service-oriented, rule-of-law-compliant, and people-friendly police force,” the CP added.
The specific nature of the officer’s offense was not disclosed.
