Air Peace has reached a major milestone on its Lagos-London route, successfully operating 662 flights and transporting over 136,000 passengers since its first flight on March 30, 2024.

This achievement was confirmed in a statement from the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, on Friday.

Since its launch, Air Peace has consistently operated flights on the Lagos-London route, demonstrating its commitment to providing competitive fares, exceptional service, and a world-class travel experience with its Boeing 777 aircraft.

Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, expressed pride in the airline’s success. “The launch of the Lagos-London route was a historic moment for both Air Peace and Nigerian aviation. One year on, we have not only maintained operations but also thrived, offering top-quality service and contributing to the Nigerian economy. This achievement underscores our vision to make international travel more accessible and affordable for Nigerians.”

Onyema also stressed the importance of national support for the continued success of the London route, noting how Nigerians have played a vital role in strengthening the airline’s position on the route.

“The Lagos-London service has had a positive impact on Nigeria’s economy and aviation industry in various ways, including job creation, boosting tourism and business travel, reducing reliance on foreign carriers, and fostering healthy competition that benefits travelers with better fares and improved services.”
