Arsenal striker, Kai Havertz will reportedly miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn hamstring while at the team’s training camp in Dubai.
This comes after Mail Sport revealed on Tuesday night that the Arsenal star had suffered the worrying hamstring injury scare whilst on club’s training trip to Dubai.
The German forward picked up his issue earlier this week in Dubai, where Mikel Arteta has taken his side on a warm-weather training camp. The Gunners currently sit six points behind Liverpool in the Premier League, with Havertz’s injury a huge blow to their hopes of beating the Reds to the title.
According to The Athletic, it has now been confirmed that Havertz has suffered a torn hamstring. At this point, it is unclear whether the 25-year-old will require surgery but his focus is on getting fit for the start of the 2025-26 season.
The Germany international has been a crucial part of Arsenal’s attack so far this season, scoring 15 goals and registering five assists across all competitions.
His most recent goal came in Arsenal’s 5-1 demolition of defending champions Manchester City at The Emirates earlier this month.
The injury is a bitter blow for the North London club’s title hopes, with their other star striker Gabriel Jesus also currently injured.
The Brazil international suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his left knee during Arsenal’s defeat against Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup.
