Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party and former Vice President, has expressed his condolences over the passing of Lady Helen Owie, wife of former Senate Chief Whip, Senator Rowland Owie.
Lady Helen passed away on Wednesday in Abuja at the age of 71.
In a message shared via his X handle on Thursday, Atiku described the late Lady Helen as a peaceful, loving, and deeply humble woman who was kind to a fault.
He wrote, “Lady Helen Owie lived an exemplary life that touched not only her family and community but also everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a devout Christian whose life was guided by love and compassion for others.”
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Owie family, offering prayers for strength and comfort during their time of grief. Atiku also prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.
