A butcher identified as Monday Murya, allegedly stabbed his elder brother, Friday Murya, to death during a quarrel over N200 meat in Adamawa State.
The incident occurred at Waltadi community in Dunme State Development Area, Song Local Government Area on Sunday, 9th March, 2025.
Monday also stabbed Sinairu, one of his elder brothers who attempted to separate them during the fight.
Sinairu is currently receiving treatment at Dumne Cottage Hospital in Song LGA.
It was gathered that the quarrel ensued between Monday and the deceased after the latter took N200 meat without paying for it.
The suspect was said to have demanded his money, but the deceased kept dragging him, which resulted in a fight where the suspect used a knife and stabbed him.
The deceased was rushed to Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital Yola in Adamawa state but could not survive it.
