Company Plans To Support 25,000 Nigerians

            Farmers

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has teamed up with Wardiere Oakmount Development, a real estate company based in Houston, Texas and Abuja, to support 4,000 farmers in the Federal Capital Territory under an initiative tagged “Operation Feed the Nation.”

As part of the program, the ministry and the company will provide registered farmers in Kuje, Abuja with farmland and seedlings to cultivate crops such as cashew, cocoa, maize, Malaysian palm trees, rice, millet, yam, and beans. The move is aimed at boosting local food production and supporting President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to achieve national food security.

Chairman of Wardiere Oakmount, Kunle Ilori, disclosed the initiative in a statement released on Friday. He said the program aligns with the goals of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and reflects the company’s commitment to supporting low-income groups, beginning with farmers.

“My joy knows no bounds as we kick off this project with the backing of a forward-thinking government that is committed to making Nigeria self-sufficient in food,” Ilori stated. “This is only the beginning—our goal is to positively impact 25,000 lives across the country.”

Ilori also commended President Tinubu for his bold leadership and urged the federal government to intensify public awareness efforts to prevent scams like the recent Cbex fraud. He stressed the importance of financial education, calling on the National Orientation Agency to help Nigerians make informed investment decisions.

In his closing remarks, Ilori encouraged young people to explore real estate investment, describing it as one of the few sectors with consistent and high returns.
