The football legend is set to remain the world’s highest-paid player in a historic deal.
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly on the verge of extending his record-breaking contract with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr. The new deal is expected to be worth an astonishing £167.9 million (€200 million) annually, securing the 39-year-old superstar a weekly paycheck of £3.19 million (€3.8 million) and a staggering daily income of £419,800 (€500,000).
The Portuguese forward initially joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 after his controversial departure from Manchester United. His current contract, which combines a £164 million on-pitch salary with £49 million from off-field ventures, is set to expire at the end of the season.
With 75 goals in 84 appearances, Ronaldo has proven his worth on the pitch, despite winning just one trophy—the 2023 Arab Club Championship—during his tenure. Al-Nassr has fallen short in other title pursuits, losing to rivals Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal.
The imminent contract renewal, reported by Saudi outlet Al Khabar, will solidify Ronaldo’s status as the world’s highest-paid footballer, extending his influential presence in Saudi football.
