After recently slashing its petrol loading price by ₦15, Dangote Refinery has further reduced the cost of its refined products, bringing the ex-depot rate down to ₦835 per litre.
This new price, confirmed through a customer notice and a Pro forma invoice seen by our correspondent, is ₦30 lower than the ₦865 rate set six days ago and ₦45 less than the ₦880 charged last Wednesday — marking a 3.5% drop. It’s the third price cut in less than six weeks.
The new price includes charges from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
The move follows a drop in the landing cost of imported petrol to ₦853 per litre, as observed on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, fuel marketers have secured approval to import 117,000 metric tonnes (about 156.9 million litres) of petrol between April 8 and 16, 2025, to help boost supply across the country.
