Delta Cp Boosts Security, Warns Against Crime This Easter

Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has assured residents and visitors of a safe and peaceful Easter celebration, announcing a large-scale deployment of officers across the state before, during, and after the festivities.

In a statement released by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, the CP said all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Team leaders have been directed to increase visibility and take proactive steps to prevent and tackle crime during the holiday.

The Command will also carry out targeted operations to prevent crimes that typically occur during festive periods. Key units such as the Dragon Patrol, RRS, Eagle-Net, Crack Squad, and Safer Highway Patrol will be deployed to strategic areas, including worship and recreational centres.

CP Abaniwonda urged the public to remain vigilant, obey the law, and support security efforts by reporting suspicious activities. He also emphasized the police will work closely with other security agencies to maintain peace across the state.

On behalf of the Delta State Police Command, the CP wished all Deltans and Nigerians a safe and joyful Easter celebration.
