The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has sent its Easter greetings to Nigerians, marking the Christian celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement on Sunday, PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba urged Nigerians to use the Easter season to renew their faith in God’s love and divine intervention in the nation’s challenges.
The party emphasized, “Easter symbolizes God’s ultimate triumph over adversity, and we encourage Nigerians to draw strength from this message to foster hope for a national rebirth. This is crucial in overcoming the hardships, insecurity, and uncertainty that have gripped the nation under the current APC-led government.”
The PDP also called for a return to values such as forgiveness, mutual respect, and unity beyond tribal, religious, or political divides. “These virtues are essential for the survival of our country in these difficult times.”
The party further urged all leaders to reflect on the values of selfless service, as demonstrated by the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and rededicate themselves to the welfare of the people.
Finally, the PDP reiterated its demand for the APC government to reverse its harmful policies and address the ongoing crises of insecurity, hunger, and economic hardship.
