The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command formally welcomed 112 newly graduated Police Constables on Tuesday, who recently completed their training at the Police Training School in Niger State. The officers are part of the 10,000 recruits who successfully passed out on January 23, 2025.
In a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, it was revealed that the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu, expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police for deploying the new officers to the Command. CP Disu highlighted that their addition would significantly strengthen the Command’s capacity to improve public safety and security in the nation’s capital.
During the ceremony, CP Disu encouraged the new officers to uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline, stressing their essential role in protecting lives and property within the territory while adhering to international policing standards. He also announced that the officers would take a two-week break before starting a specialized retraining program as part of their integration into the force.
