The Federal Government has donated N30 million to the family of the late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, the esteemed designer of Nigeria’s national flag, in recognition of his monumental contribution to the country. This generous gesture, made two years after his passing, aims to provide support to his family.
The donation was presented on behalf of the Federal Government by Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu, Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), and Mrs. Olukemi Afolayan, the Oyo State Director of NOA. Issa-Onilu clarified that the donation was not payment for the late Pa Akinkunmi’s services, but rather an expression of gratitude for his lasting impact on Nigeria.
