Gov. Fubara Recognizes Asari Dokubo as a Traditional Ruler

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has formally presented a certificate of recognition to former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, confirming his status as the Amayanabo of Torusarama-Piri Elem Kalabari.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday, December 31, during the traditional rulers’ quarterly general meeting in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

In addition to Dokubo, Governor Fubara also honored three other monarchs with certificates of recognition. They include Winston Odiye Alamina (Oputibeya XII, Amayanabo of the Koniju Kingdom), Eze Noble Friday Uwoh (Eze Igbu-Ehuda IV), and Ike Ehie (Eze Igbu Orlukwor).

Sharing the event on X, Governor Fubara reiterated his administration’s dedication to advancing peace and development in Rivers State. He called on the newly recognized traditional rulers to foster unity and harmony within their communities.
