INEC Says Natasha’s Recall Petition Doesn’t Meet Constitutional Requirements

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that the petition to recall Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senator for Kogi Central, did not meet the necessary constitutional requirements.

This was announced in a post on INEC’s official X page on Thursday, April 3.

INEC stated that the recall petition failed to comply with Section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

“The petition for the recall of the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended),” the commission posted on X.
