Terrorists from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have destroyed a key bridge connecting Ngirbuwa to Gonori township in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.

According to intelligence sources who spoke with security analyst Zagazola Makama, the attack happened around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The terrorists reportedly used explosives to bring down the remaining section of the bridge, cutting off movement between the two communities.

This attack comes just two days after ISWAP destroyed the Mandafuma Bridge in Borno State, highlighting a troubling pattern of targeting critical infrastructure in the region.
