Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has appointed John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, as the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture.
The announcement, made on February 5, 2025, was signed by the acting presidential spokesperson, Felix Kwakye.
Dumelo, a renowned actor-turned-politician and a professional farmer, is serving his first term in parliament under the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
His appointment reflects the government’s focus on agricultural development and youth inclusion in leadership.
