A 52-year-old man, Salihu Byezh, tragically passed away after collapsing during Subhi prayers at a mosque in Gudaba village, Kuje Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
According to a local resident, Musa Dantani, Salihu had eaten Sahur (pre-dawn meal) before performing ablution and attending Subhi prayers. During the prayer, he suddenly slumped. Worshippers quickly rushed him to the hospital in Kuje, where he was confirmed dead upon arrival. Doctors attributed his death to high blood pressure.
Dantani added that Salihu’s son, who was also at the mosque, accompanied him to the hospital, where the unfortunate news was confirmed. His remains were buried around 10:12 am the same day, in accordance with Islamic rites.
