Marcus Rashford Joins Aston Villa on Loan After Manchester United Exit

England striker Marcus Rashford has officially joined Aston Villa on loan, marking his departure from Manchester United.

The 27-year-old completed his medical on Sunday evening after agreeing to the move, following a period of limited opportunities under United boss Ruben Amorim.

Confirming the signing, Aston Villa released a statement: “Aston Villa is delighted to announce the loan signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. The England international, capped 60 times by the Three Lions, joins Villa on a deal until the end of the season. Welcome, Marcus!”

Rashford took to Instagram to share his excitement, expressing gratitude to both clubs for facilitating the move: “I was fortunate to have multiple offers, but Aston Villa was an easy choice. I admire their style of play and the manager’s ambition. I just want to get back to playing football and can’t wait to get started. I also wish Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”

Manchester United, in their official statement, extended their best wishes: “Everyone at Manchester United wishes Marcus good luck for the rest of the season.”

The loan deal, which runs until the end of the campaign, includes an option for Villa to make the transfer permanent for a pre-agreed fee of £40 million. Villa will cover 70% of Rashford’s wages, with additional bonuses tied to European progress and Champions League qualification.

With his move to Villa Park now sealed, Rashford is set to begin an exciting new chapter under Unai Emery’s guidance.
