The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of enlistment for tradesmen, non-tradesmen, and women for its 89th Regular Recruits Intake. This was shared via the Army’s X handle on Tuesday.
The statement reads, “The Nigerian Army is pleased to inform the public that the online application for the 89th Regular Recruits Intake for Non-Tradesmen and Women is now open to all interested candidates.
“Application is free of charge. Applicants are advised to submit only one application, as multiple submissions will lead to disqualification. Interested candidates should visit http://recruitment.army.mil.ng to complete the online registration between March 31 and May 17, 2025.
“Shortlisted candidates will be required to report to their respective states of origin for the screening exercise, which will take place from June 2 to June 16, 2025.”
The application portal provides additional instructions for eligible candidates regarding the application process and necessary qualifications.
“Applicants must be single, Nigerian citizens by birth, and possess a National Identity Card (NIN) and a BVN printout. They must meet the Nigerian Army’s medical, physical, and psychological standards.
“Candidates must have no criminal convictions and must provide a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, a hospital, or a Local Government Council, or an age declaration. A valid certificate of state of origin is also required. Additionally, male applicants must be at least 1.68 meters tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.65 meters tall.”
