Chief Ebelechukwu Obiano, former First Lady of Anambra State, has called on corporate organisations, policymakers, and individuals to support HERbernation and its mission to create a world where women feel seen, heard, and valued.
HERbernation is a unique initiative that creates a safe and supportive space for women to share their experiences, learn from one another, and find strength in their collective stories. The project aims to address key challenges women face, including career growth, mental health, fertility struggles, gender biases, and social expectations.
A statement by the former First Lady’s aide highlighted her significant strides in women’s empowerment and advocacy, which are also reflected in her active support for HERbernation 2025.
It reads: “She has long been a champion of women’s welfare, economic empowerment, and leadership. During her tenure as First Lady, she founded the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), which provided thousands of women across Nigeria with vocational training, business funding, and community support.
“Through HERbernation, she continues this mission by advocating for open conversations, mentorship, and the creation of stronger networks that uplift women in all aspects of life.”
HERbernation 2025, billed for March 28, 2025, in Lagos, as part of Women’s History Month, will feature keynotes by accomplished women leaders; panel discussions on overcoming challenges in career, health and family; conversations on resilience, mental well-being and personal growth; and networking opportunities for professional and personal growth.
“Mrs Obiano’s longstanding commitment to women’s empowerment aligns with HERbernation’s mission to create spaces where women can connect, learn, and grow. Her support for initiatives that foster community, resilience, and progress continues to inspire more women to embrace their journeys with confidence and strength,” the statement added.
