The Ogun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Yemi Sanusi, has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of the party’s Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye. He described the loss as one that has caused immense grief among party members in the state.

In a statement sent to journalists on Saturday, Sanusi conveyed his condolences following Oladunjoye’s passing early Friday morning at a hospital in the UK from an undisclosed illness.

Sanusi praised Oladunjoye as a reliable, dependable ally and a skilled image maker who always went above and beyond to serve the party. He recalled their first encounter in 2018 when he, along with Mr. Ayo Olubori and himself, were appointed by the party leadership to form the Caretaker Committee for Ogun APC. Since then, Sanusi knew Oladunjoye to be a committed, pragmatic, and loyal party member who was always willing to go the extra mile to achieve the party’s goals.

Sanusi further said, “Tunde Oladunjoye was an unwavering advocate for our party’s image, never tolerating any harm to its reputation. He was quick to use his sharp pen to correct any misrepresentation. He fought tirelessly for the party and for any cause he believed in, but unfortunately, he could not overcome death. He fought until the very end, and his passing is a tremendous loss to the APC, his family, and Ogun State.”

Sanusi prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Oladunjoye eternal rest in Aljanah Fridaus, and to bless and strengthen the family he left behind, as well as the party’s leadership and members, protecting them from untimely death.

Oladunjoye, a seasoned journalist, had previously served as the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government. At the time of his death, he was the Media Consultant to Governor Dapo Abiodun.
