Parents of 9 kidnapped children beg Bauchi governor for assistance

Parents of nine children kidnapped from Miya village in the Ganguwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State have urgently appealed to Governor Bala Mohammed for help in rescuing their children. The parents made their emotional plea during a press conference at the NUJ Press Centre in Bauchi on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the parents, Musa Kwana, the traditional ruler of Miya village, emphasized that without intervention from the governor and his wife, Aisha Bala Mohammed, they fear they may never see their children again.

Kwana identified the abducted children as Sangi Turaki, Cikawa Turaki, Danjuma Turaki, Yangawa Dogo Talangu, Bebi Bawa, Jumolo Dangaladima, Kangaya Kori, Jummai Adamu, and Alti Shehu, all from Miya village in Ganguwa LGA.

“After years of exhausting all efforts since the incident in 2014, we have seen no positive results,” Kwana said. “Now, we are calling on the governor and his wife to step in and help us find our children. We just want to see our kids again and end our pain.”
