Portable’s Comments On Bobrisky Spark Debate On Social Media

Nigerian street-pop star Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable Zazu, has once again stirred controversy on social media with his remarks about crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky. Portable, who has previously expressed his disapproval of Bobrisky’s lifestyle, recently revealed that they are actually friends.

During an appearance on the Echo Room podcast, the Zeh Nation leader explained that his issue with Bobrisky was not about his identity as a crossdresser, but rather about Bobrisky’s portrayal of himself as a woman, despite being born a man. Portable, who referred to himself as an angel, also mentioned that he didn’t contribute to Bobrisky’s bail fund like other celebrities, citing that it went against his religious beliefs.

For context, Bobrisky had thanked several celebrities, including Funke Akindele, Don Jazzy, Victor Osimhen, and others, in a post after his release from detention, acknowledging their donations.

One of the most talked-about moments from the interview was when Portable admitted that he stumbled upon Bobrisky’s social media due to his attraction, initially thinking Bobrisky was a woman.

Reactions to Portable’s statements were mixed, with some netizens criticizing him for implying that he wanted to cheat on his wife with Bobrisky.
