Presidency: Tinubu Active Overseas, Returns After Easter

The Presidency has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu remains actively in charge of the country’s affairs, even though he has been abroad for nearly two weeks.

In a statement released on Thursday, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the President—currently in London after a trip to Paris—is in constant communication with key government officials and continues to issue directives, including orders to security chiefs to tackle emerging threats across Nigeria.

Onanuga emphasized that Tinubu’s absence is temporary and aligns with the previously communicated two-week timeframe. He is expected back in Abuja after the Easter holiday.

“The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and governance continues seamlessly under his leadership,” the statement read, adding that there is no disruption to government operations.

The statement, titled “Statement On President Tinubu’s Return To Nigeria”, reassured the public of continued stability and urged Nigerians to remain calm.
