Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has outlined the qualities needed in a presidential candidate to successfully challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
In a statement, Ayodele emphasized that the candidate must be financially stable, fearless, and “rugged”—someone with determination and a readiness to pursue their goal relentlessly. He warned that the 2027 election will not be for the faint-hearted, highlighting the need for a candidate who can navigate the tough political terrain and confront challenges head-on.
Ayodele added that to unseat Tinubu, the candidate must be spiritually aligned, desperate for success, and willing to make tough decisions, including the expenditure of significant resources. He stressed that the race will require more than righteousness—it demands a candidate who is prepared to face both truths and lies.
