Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay at Anfield beyond the 2024–25 season.

The 32-year-old forward, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, is enjoying yet another outstanding campaign. With 32 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions—including 27 in the Premier League—Salah currently leads the top scorer chart. He’s also registered 22 assists this season, underlining his importance to the team.

Reacting to the new deal, Salah expressed his excitement about continuing with the Reds.

“Of course, I’m very excited,” he told Liverpoolfc.com. “We have a great team now—just like we did before—but I believe we have another chance to win more trophies and enjoy playing football together. I’ve had the best years of my career here. It’s been eight years, and hopefully, I can make it ten.”

Salah’s renewal comes as a major boost to new Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who will be counting on the Egyptian’s experience and impact as the club continues to chase silverware.

Widely regarded as one of Liverpool’s all-time greats, Salah is currently third on the club’s all-time scorers list with 243 goals in 394 appearances. During his time at Anfield, he has helped the team win seven major trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and two League Cups.

His list of personal accolades is just as impressive, featuring three Premier League Golden Boot awards, two PFA Players’ Player of the Year titles, and two FWA Footballer of the Year honors.

Grateful for the fans’ continued support, Salah shared a message with the supporters:
“I’m very, very happy to be here. I signed because I truly believe we can win big trophies together. Keep supporting us—we’ll give everything we have, and hopefully we can bring more success to the club.”
