Saudi Arabia Confirms Eid Al-Fitr Will Begin On Sunday

Saudi Arabia has officially announced that Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday marking the end of Ramadan, will begin on Sunday, March 30.

In a statement from the Royal Court, shared by the Saudi Press Agency on X, it was confirmed: “The Supreme Court has decided that tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, 2025, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.”

The start of Eid al-Fitr is based on the sighting of the crescent moon, as per the Muslim lunar calendar.

The United Arab Emirates and Qatar have also declared Sunday as the first day of the holiday. However, Oman and Shiite-majority Iran have announced that Eid will begin on Monday, March 31.
