“Senator Ogunlewe Says Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Beauty Is A Problem For Her”

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan?s beauty is a problem to her- former Works Minister, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, says

Former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, has suggested that one of the challenges faced by embattled Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is her beauty, which he believes men find hard to ignore. Speaking on Arise News on Monday, Ogunlewe noted that female senators do not view themselves as inferior to men and are confident in political discussions. However, he pointed out that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s physical appearance affects how men respond to her.

“The female senators do not see themselves as inferior to men. They’re up to the task. If you mention Itadewa is a woman, the response will make you ashamed because they will stand their ground,” he said.

He went on to say that “the beauty of Distinguished Senator Natasha is a problem to her.” When asked how beauty could be a problem, Ogunlewe explained, “When someone who is pretty walks by, your attitude changes. You might smile or wink but may not speak to her. Her beauty is a problem, there’s no doubt about that.”

Pressed further, he added, “When she walks by, there’s no way a man won’t notice her.” He defended his perspective by stating that it’s natural for men to notice attractive women. “It’s natural for a man to look at beautiful women. How can you be a man and not notice when a beautiful woman passes by?”

Despite being questioned on whether his views were misogynistic, Ogunlewe maintained that his observations were based on natural human behavior. “It may sound that way, but it’s inbuilt,” he said.
