Sia Files For Divorce From Second Husband After Two Years Of Marriage

Sia has filed for divorce from her husband, Daniel Bernad, after two years of marriage. According to court documents filed on Wednesday, March 19, and obtained by PEOPLE, the Australian singer/songwriter separated from Bernad on Tuesday, March 18, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

The documents also revealed that Sia, 49, quietly welcomed her third child—her first with Bernad—11 months ago. The baby, named Somersault Wonder Bernad, was born on March 27, 2024.

Sia is seeking both legal and physical custody of their 11-month-old child but is open to allowing Bernad visitation rights. However, she has requested that the court not award her ex any spousal support.

In May 2023, just months after they were legally married, Sia and Bernad tied the knot in a private, candlelit ceremony at the Villa Olivetta in Portofino, Italy, owned by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Only six guests attended the intimate wedding.

Before her marriage to Bernad, Sia was married to Erik Anders Lang. The couple wed in August 2014 at Sia’s Palm Springs home, just two months after Lang announced their engagement on Instagram in June 2014. The pair separated in December 2016.
